Indian Fusion Wedding at Newhouse Estate, New Forest
Indian Fusion Wedding Photography | New Forest Wedding Photography
The Bride and Groom wanted to celebrate their marriage with a fusion of cultures. They chose to have not one, but two beautiful ceremonies. The first was a traditional church service held at St. Ann’s Church in Brockenhurst. This was followed by a rather colourful, vibrant and smokey(!) at times Hindu ceremony at the Newhouse Estate in Redlynch, New Forest.
I was very excited to photograph this Indian Fusion Wedding. I knew the couple were a lot of fun, since meeting them at their Engagement shoot. They dazzled me with their sense of humour, spontaneity and how natural they were in front of the camera.
I was also so looking forward to going back to the New Forest. It holds a special place in my heart from when I used to live there a lifetime ago! New Forest is absolutely amazing with it's stunning landscapes, nature and abundance of livestock on the roads. With such a beautiful backdrops all around I simply couldn’t miss the opportunity to have a quick stop on the way to Newhouse Estate and take a couple of shots with the newlyweds surrounded by some very inquisitive wildlife!
With 2 ceremonies come 2 dresses! The Bride looked absolutely stunning in both her white, lacy dress and the vibrant red Indian Sari. In addition to fabulous dresses I loved her hand henna tattoo. It inspired me to incorporate it into some of the bridal portraits.
The fusion of cultures made for an absolutely gorgeous and memorable day. The couple made sure that some Indian accents were incorporated into their wedding. The Indian outfits, the colourful invites, the gold that made Groom’s ring were all brought over from India. In addition to that the favours for the guests were handmade spice mixes from a secret family recipe!
The couple really wanted to customise their day and make it special and unique to them. To add this magic personal touch to the day they asked Groom’s sister, to handmade some of the wedding stationary. The couple also handpicked all of their favourite music to play during the night so the guests could throw some shapes on the dance floor.
The highlight of this Indian Fusion Wedding must be the first dance! It all started very innocently, the couple gliding along the dance floor. In a split second, the Groom guided his Bride to a chair and set about surprising her with a solo dance followed by a group dance with his best men!
All it leaves me to say is : Congratulations Mr & Mrs and thank you for having me!
Here are some of my favourites images from this amazing Indian Fusion Wedding at Newhouse Estate. I hope you are going to like them as much as I do!
