Michael and Heather Wedding at Chichester Harbour Hotel, Sussex

The last wedding of September took me to the stunning, Grade II listed Georgian Chichester Harbour Hotel, West Sussex. I can’t blame Michael and Heather for choosing this venue to tie the knot. The colours of the Chichester Harbour Hotel are dark and bold with dramatic, period features fitting perfectly with the couple’s black and white theme.

The morning was calm and relaxed. Heather and her bridesmaids were getting ready at the venue doing their own make up and hair.  The light in the room was absolutely amazing, perfect for the bridal portraits.

The girls were simply fabulous, wearing elegant black strapless dresses.  Heather looked absolutely fantastic in her fitted sequin dress and I couldn’t help myself from photographing the bride, the dress and the bride in the dress!

The wedding ceremony was held in the drawing room of the Chichester Harbour Hotel which was dark and lashed with soft, velvet furniture and gold fixtures. The Groom and his entourage in their dinner jackets were looking very dapper indeed!

The wedding breakfast followed with a 3 course dinner and the speeches.  Afterwards, Michael and Heather were picked up in a 1959 Jaguar 240, obviously in black, to take them in style from Chichester Harbour Hotel to Duncton where their celebrations would continue with more drinks and food.

On the way we stopped for some pictures at Benbow Pond, nestled on the edge of a 16 acre wood.  The views in all directions are breathtaking.  It has a special place in the couple’s hearts, as this is where Michael proposed!

With each wedding I learn something new, this time I discovered heel protectors, that don’t sink into the grass! How could I live without them before?
