It is no secret that I love to photograph barn weddings as they have an amazing, rustic feel to them and are full of happiness and laughter. Russ and Jem's wedding at Pangdean Old Barn in Brighton wasn't an exception!

Pangdean Old Barn is an 18th century barn nestled in the middle of South Downs. A beautiful farmhouse garden and open fields surround the venue creating plenty of opportunities for some amazing portraits.

The weather on Russ and Jem's Wedding day was horrendous!  It was raining cats and dogs pretty much the whole time. And I am not taking about an English mist here! Fortunately Russ and Jem are the kind of people that will make lemonade when life gives them lemons! They have taken me with their kindness and love they had for one another. They were so happy to get married that even rain couldn't take any fun nor enjoyment out of their day!

Jem looked a million dollars. Period. I am not surprised that Russ had tears in his eyes when he first saw her at the isle. There were more happy tears later as Russ laughed through his vows – especially the bit "What's mine is yours".

Pangdean Old Barn in Brighton proved to be an excellent choice for Russ and Jem's rainy day wedding.  It kept all the guests dry and  well fed. There was also a Magician on hand to keep them entertained as well.

Because of the weather there were not too many opportunities to take pictures of the bride and groom in beautiful scenery outside. It was getting late and the rain was not stopping. I decided to take a plunge and get the couple outside. Yes it was still raining! But if you are having a rainy day wedding this is what you have to do: embrace it and keep smiling!

Russ and Jem were absolutely fantastic they took into their stride not only the rain but my craziness as well! If you would like to see what we got up to keep on scrolling till the end. It would be a real shame if you miss it!
